Sho Ikushima is an actor/contemporary dancer/art producer, basing in Tokyo and works worldwide.
At the age of 15, Sho moved to California to study dance at Idyllwild Arts Academy. He continued his dance study at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. He worked with choreographers such as Pavel Zustiak (2015 Bessie Award recipient), Brian Brooks, and Gerald Casel among others in New York. Sho has received ImpulsTanz danceWEB Scholarship in 2009 at ImpulsTanz Festival, one of the biggest dance festival in the world. After the scholarship program, he signed a contract as a soloist with the State Theater Kassel in Germany. After returning to Japan, Sho started to work as an actor with directors like Yukihiko Tsutsumi and Masato Harada. In 2018, Sho made his Hollywood debut in action film, “Darc”, as Shigeru Kageyama, a leading role.
Sho started his own production company, 034productions, in 2019. He produced, choreographed, and performed in a dance film, Trinity, and it has won 6 awards at SFAAF (South Film and Arts Academy Festival) in Chile including winning Best Art Direction himself.
Sho also expanded his exploration and joined Kyoto University as a researcher in 2022, studying urban management through arts and culture.
